You know it's the time of year
When witches and ghosts appear
They come at night
When there's no more light
Halloween is almost here
If you look very carefully
There's a spirit behind that tree
But I must say
Don't you go away
Because it might be me

It's that time of year folks. What are your thoughts and/or theories on the following?

• Witches

1 and 2 are two different words for the same thing, unless talking about Satan. In every sense, defeated at Calvary and regularly crushed underfoot by men and women of God.

3 doesn't exist (leave the Holy Ghost out of this)

4 Could be demon possession, easily remedied by those filled with the Spirit.

5 Can be saved by the Blood of Jesus

6 Non-existent.

7 defeated by Jesus Christ.

I actually feel there is much more to ghosts and hauntings then we know. The bible is remarkably silent about the workings if the spirit world.

Here's what I believe....

• Devils - Fallen angels (includes Satan)
• Lilith - Possibly an unclean spirit
• Demons - Fallen angels (includes Satan)
• Inccubi - Possibly an unclean spirit
• Succubi - Possibly an unclean spirit
• Unclean Spirits - Spirits of the unclean progeny between fallen angels and human kind described in Genesis 6
• Possession - When a Devil, Demon, or Unclean Spirit takes up residence in a person to satisfy it's thirst for rebellion, sin, and debauchery
• Ghosts - Human spirits that are cursed or self condemned to roam the earthly plane until they are set free
• Hauntings - Areas where any on this list might abide
• Witches - Those who are cursed by a generational curse passed down through their bloodline. These have special giftings to curse, speak to the dead, be fortune tellers, ward off unclean spirits, read omens, read minds, etc.
• Vampires - Legend, perhaps a form of unclean spirit.
• Death - Forgetting your wife's birthday. Can be avoided if banished to roam the night in search of a place to stay for the evening.

Not true. Please don't spread lies about witches, they need Jesus so badly and they know what Christians think, and it keeps them from seeking the help they need when God is speaking to their hearts.

Editing to be a little more clear.

Some believe that witchcraft is passed from generation to generation (within witchcraft as well), but that's not always the case. I have no family history of witchcraft, and yet I practiced. It's like this for most of my friends who have practiced, and do practice.

Witches don't curse. Period. They live by "An harm none, do what you will". They take this extremely seriously. Of course there are exceptions to every rule. But it's as safe to say that witches don't curse as it is to say that Christians pray.

Witches are in contact with the spirit realm, this is true. Whether you believe those spirits to be those of the dead, or something else, you'll have to sort out for yourself.

Fortune telling? Do you mean divination? Yes, some witches practice this, but not all. And even among those who practice it, few are good at it.

Ward off unclean spirits?? Witchcraft is about summoning those spirits. Yes, witches exercise a level of control over the spirit realm, but that control is only an illusion anyhow.

Read omens? This is just divination again. Most witches are sensitive to the spirit realm, obviously, or witchcraft wouldn't have appealed to them.

Witches can't read your mind. They wouldn't want to if by some strange chance such a thing was possible. Trust me. But it isn't. People can train themselves to be sensitive to body language and unspoken language, but this is not mind reading. And it's not exclusive to witchcraft/paganism.
