God Bless,Bro.Bernard.

God bless, Elder Bernard.

I am not UPCI,but I do care about things pertaining to The Kingdom Of God,and I do care about The Christian faith.

So I pray that The Lord guides this brother as he leads a body of Christian believers, and may he be used as a instrument to be used to advance the cause of Christ in the earth, and may he be fruitful in equipping Christians to be effective in helping fallen man find reconcilation to Christ.

May Elder Bernard be an instrument of grace and a blessing to the entire body of Christ at large.

Bro. Hutchinson, with what "org" are you affiliated? Personally, I favor Elder Haney. I have a nagging thought, why would they vote a "legal" guy into office? You don't typically put your lawyers at the top of your org unless you are expecting trouble. Any insight, or speculation on this? BTW, how old are you, if I may ask? God Bless!

Haney would have required a super majority of the votes and he didnt get it in the first round. Its not complicated by any means. Mooney didnt want it and Jones isnt popular enough.

And that other guy from NC withdrew his name after being nominated.

Maybe Bernard just hadn't finished his first cup of coffee yet and wasn't keeping track of what was going on in the Business Meeting? Maybe he had to get up and leave "for a second" and came back only to find his name in the hat and a vote going down? Mooney and Huntley appear to have been the ones who exercised the best wisdom in this matter. And I say that only partly with tongue in cheek.

Whatever happened, Bernard's stuck with it.

And for Endtime Pastor, Brother Bernard has a J.D. but he hasn't really practiced law, at least not for decades. I take it you were being a bit TIC, there too. I can't think of any time when interacting with DB was like "talking to a lawyer." He has always struck me as the kind of guy who approached what he was doing as a minister, a preacher of the Gospel.

I guess he will be too busy to re-write his book on the godhead issue and fix the mistakes and ambiguity

I'm afraid I must have missed your prior posts on these glaring mistakes and ambiguity. Care to enlighten me?

I've only ever heard good things about DB. I know my dad was happy with the end-result (but I believe he would have voted to keep KH in if he had been able to go... unless he thought that Mangum would have a chance as a nominee after the 2/3 vote did not materialize)...

the views expressed here are what I think my dad would have done and not necessarily what he actually would do in RL.

I also say God Bless Bro.Bernard. Having read almost all of his 10 books that I have, he is in my view an astute teacher. Which is not to say that I agree with everything that he writes. But what do I know, being just a mere lad of 50. We would all do well to remember him in our prayers.

Will

"What then ? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense, or in truth, Christ is preached: and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice." Phil. 1:18
