What I have learned from AFF
IF someone is not a One God, Jesus Name Baptisim, HOly Ghost filled with evidence of speaking in Tongues, living a seperated life of consecration to God christian... they can still be saved.
Trinitarians can remain trinitarians and still go to Heaven. Tounges is not the intial sign of the Holy Ghost Baptisim isn't as important to be Jesus name only. Jesus may not be God, possibly a second... Appearance doesn't matter to God Its not a sin for women to: Cut their hair Wear Pants Jewelry Make-Up did I miss anything? An yet they still insist they are Apostolic. :nah |

You left off iron sharpens iron.
Actually, you left off a LOT that has been thrown out there in the past, but that's okay. I've NEVER read that Jesus might not be God - did you throw that one in there to see if we're reading your post? |
Re: What I have learned from AFF
You learned that people won't just accept cliches and rhetoric as gospel, they want scriptures to back it up. :)
(imagine that) |

and the Oneness thread awhile back is where I drew my conclusions that some are not sure Jesus was fully God. |
Re: What I have learned from AFF
O and you forgot to mention you learned not to call people names on here also...

Re: What I have learned from AFF
What you have found is that these things are discussed.
There are people on both sides of the fence here or there would be no need to discuss it. It is, apparently, unapostolic to even allow discussion of these things in many people's minds. Many apostolics are accustomed to an atmosphere of perpetual and mutual admiration. |

In fact, you are hard-pressed to find too many in Christendom that don't believe Jesus was fully God. And to be accurate, since I suspect no one said that or doubted His divinity, it would also be presumptious to classify AFF in general for the opinion of a one (and possibly a dramatic minority). What you didn't include in your learnings are these type of people: Repeat Sunday School rhetoric When in doubt, use the "obey your pastor" card Never question doctrine In debate, avoid scriptural discussions, just be a dump truck of scriptures you think are owned by your position. Those that view salvation has been a huge hurdle, and we will be lucky if we just barely make it Those that see their own works as part of their salvation, ignorantly using James' Faith w/out Works sermon. Those that are quick to label people, but slow to enter true discourse with people. Those who realize they don't know how to biblically defend their positions, and the usual cycle is: attack everyone else, label them, anger, consideration, study, more study, concession of points, and in the end hopefully a robust biblical world view. |
