Talmadge French Heads Home to the UPC
 

An excerpt from a letter that was emailed to me.

Brother Talmadge French met the NC District Board asking to be received back into the UPCI.. After hearing his request and discussing his situation with him, Bro. French was unanimously received back into fellowship in the UPCI as an ordained minister.

Bro. French realizes now that he did not fully understand what kind of organization the WWPF would be or the direction it would take and wishes to blame no one else for his error in judgment. Things are clearer now and he realizes his mistake and desired to correct it as soon as possible.

Bro French has resigned all positions with the WWPF and has no further obligations with them. He is committed to following the UPCI Manual guidelines whenever ministering outside the UPCI. Because of his excellent research and the book he wrote entitled, “Our God Is One”, he has been able to declare the “Oneness” message in many places outside of our organization.

What kind of direction is the WPF taking that was not part of their original intentions?

Very interesting. Is there a leak in the WPF boat? Good for Bro French! I don't know about you but I think the doctor has just lost a big part of his kingdom. Wasn't he over the college?

I think most of us thought it would be a fellowship not a full fledged organization...However I have friends in both camps and hate to send friends divided. I pray for God to unite His earthly body everyday. I personaly want to be friends with anyone that wants to be my friends....cards have never mattered to me...but I SO WELL know it does to some people.

It appears that the good Bro. French found out that the spin didn't match the reality! The pitch didn't match the product! He could have also figured out that being blocked from ministering in UPCI churches was not a financially desired consequence.

Either way, it's great that he was enlightened! :)
