Thank God for AFF!
As many of you know, most of my ideas are slightly left field ;) Actually they are much further off than slightly. Maybe my attitude about God and such isn't quite right either. But, amidst those two things you can imagine how hard it is for me to happily sit through any church service and these are the baptist kinds. So you can imagine how much more difficult it is for me to sit through a pentecostal service.
What I am trying to say is this. I have this hope or prayer, I can't remember if I ever prayed it, that I could sit through a church service and especially an apostolic one without being agravated by what all the preacher was saying. After my chats with many on here, I think that may can actually happen, not because it's changed my beliefs and ideas, but because it's allowed me to see a whole different side to apostolics than what I was accustomed. So thank God for AFF! |

JFrog,
What a nice post! And yes, the time I have been on, not only AFF, but the two other forums that preceded it, my life has been enriched. I have learned so much and have had an opportunity to meet and dialogue with many others, while sitting here at my desk. While waiting for the Lord to open a door for me, I realized that HE had opened a window in the meantime. WINDOWS XP! I have met so many wonderful people I would never have met otherwise. Re: Thank God for AFF!
I am always learning about new things on AFF. Just recently Aquila opened my mind to learning more about how house churches are also for today and the possibility of them being implemented for kingdom growth in a area. I've read about 7 books on it so far from the reading list and websites that were recommended.
I enjoy throwing a topic out there and seeing if it stays, falls or gets modified by others who have either studied it in depth or have fact and views that give me further illumination. So yes, thank God for AFF. |
Re: Thank God for AFF!
I've learned a lot in my almost year on this site. I understand others' viewpoints much better, and after study and prayer, have changed some of my own for the better. There are many wonderful people on this board who have spoken to me on the discussion board and through PMs. Knowing I have friends throughout the world praying for a siutation I may post prayer about, can laugh with, can ask questions of without judgment, and can glean wisdom from has truly been a blessing. Thank you all.
