Do you find yourself.............
saying, "so-and-so on AFF said ______________ today." when you are talking to your "real-life friends and family"?
I went to say something today at our family Christmas about something someone on here said and realized they had NO IDEA what I was talking about. The blank looks on their faces said it all. How do people respond to you when you mention folks from here? I think we really are a family of sorts on here. You all have become a very real part of my life. But how to make others understand that? I just don't know. hehehe. |
Re: Do you find yourself.............
That has been the biggest topic of conversation in our house today!!!
You know what happened in our house after talking about it for months- they got another member!! |
Re: Do you find yourself.............
My family is finally getting used to my AFF comments.
Instead of imaginary friends we have AFF friends! :christmasjig :horn :christmasfire |
Re: Do you find yourself.............
Yes!! I finally got to the point where alot of times I'll say something like, "A friend of mine from Ohio, or a friend from Texas" instead of "Someone on my internet forum". I do view us all as friends. We are just family and friends who haven't met yet. And that in itself is becoming more and more common as folks are getting to meet up with others on here.

I do the same thing- I talk about you all and what is being discussed all the time. Some times I will refer to it as my forum friends or I will say a friend from _____ says.... You all are a real part of my life and I am glad you are!!!!

I usually just say... "we were talking on the forum today and someone said..."

Re: Do you find yourself.............
Dear Friends,
Yes, I regard those on AFF as friends, and as Tamor mentioned, just family and friends we haven't met yet! The Word tells us that "from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh". Could it be that many times we do not realize that just because we aren't speaking to one another face to face, it's okay to speak harshly or unkind! But in reality our words are a dead giveaway as to what is in our hearts. Ephesians 4:32 KJV And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Hugs, Falla39 |
