The "shoe-bomber" incidence occurred just a few months after 9-11. We were still working out the Homeland Security issues and getting things into place after the twin towers went down. Lots to work on. Lots still going on. 9-11-2001! Obama's administration doesn't have that excuse. 2001- 2009! Sorry! Hate to burst your bubble. |

All the more reason (in theory) why the President should have been quicker to be out in front during the shoe-bomber incident. You are right, it was fresher! You're not bursting my bubble at all, we are attempting a discussion. Less than 72 hours for a Presidential response for something that was ALMOST a huge tragedy is good. It's good that he waited to receive a better idea of what happened-- the failure and the depths of that failure. It's good that he did not shift blame. However, most of my fellow Conservatives aren't recognizing ANY of the good, while dismissing the actions or inaction of GWB. |

:) I am so glad that God allowed that idiot to fail. What is your take on the President's criticism of the apparent lack of intelligence synchronization-- still an issue over 8 years after 9-11? Didn't GWB form another Federal Agency in an attempt to tie up those loos ends? |

Well, I think they should fire Janet Napolitano. I agree with Dennis Miller - She has a haircut like Frank Luntz! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...luntz_2009.jpg :toofunny :toofunny :toofunny Quote:

So we have one big clusterfudge of a new federal agency, started several years ago, and the agency is still not serving it's true purpose yet? I'm not for firing anyone yet-- but none of us know just how serious the disconnect is. That is what really needs to be addressed. |
