Pastor John's 10 Undeniable Rules of Life

Some have wondered what the rest of the rules were from the newspaper article. I even received some phone calls from folks wanting them. So.....here they are for your use or abuse. They are not all original but they are all true!

#1 Your life flows in the direction of the friends you choose…end of story!!
You WILL be like those you hang out with.

#2 You will NEVER outperform your own self-image.
You WILL live what you believe you are.

#3 Your ability to choose your actions is far more powerful than you realize.
You are NOT helpless!

#4 Change in your life is inevitable; misery is optional.
Go with the flow and adapt.

#5 You have far more talents and abilities for good than you recognize. Whatever you have used for “bad” can be used for good.

#6 Accepting personal responsibility for YOUR actions is the #1 most powerful tool you can use to change your life.
“IAR” principle – I Am Responsible! (Response – ability)
Until a person says deeply & honestly, “I am what I am today because of the choices I made yesterday,” that person can never say, “I choose to be different.”

#7 God is NOT your enemy and sincerely wants to bless you!

#8 True freedom only comes from truth.
“You will know the truth and the truth will set you free!” Jn. 8:32

#9 Private “victories” always come before “public” victories.
Pro. 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. You cannot talk your way out of problems you behaved yourself into. You can’t have the fruits without the roots!

#10 Faithfulness and Trustworthiness is $$$ in your pocket!
There is ALWAYS a demand for faithful and honest people!
Faithfulness & Trustworthiness is always more important than skill & education. (Skill & education are also very important)
