Interesting approach for small groups

Have been researching the best way of making a easy to scale (from a few groups to many groups) small groups ministry. Here is a interesting idea i got from http://www.smallgroups.com/discussio...groups/q1.html

This church does a weekly DVD video that ties into the sermon where the pastor essentially guides the discussion where they pause the video at various times, thus taking the burden off the small group leader.

Lets discuss its merits or whatnot. The production value isn't that great, but the concept seems to make sense if done with excellence.

Re: Interesting approach for small groups

It would work for small group ministry because small group ministry is not attempting to break away from the popular church model of today.

It would not work for house church because house church & small group have little in common beyond location and group size.

People always feel uncomfortable taking leadership roles but often are surprised at what they are capable of. This type of venue still allows us to hide behind our "I don't wanna" and remain firmly entrenched in the "let the other guy do it... I'll just sit right here" mode.
