The Assembly

It is written,
Hebrews 10:24-25
{10:24} And let us consider one another to
provoke unto love and to good works: {10:25} Not
forsaking the assembling of ourselves together
, as the
manner of some [is;] but exhorting [one another:] and so
much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
It is clear that we are not to forsake the "assembling" of ourselves as Christians. Christian fellowship and provoking none another unto love and good works is absolutely essential. However, I have a question,

How many Christians does it take to qualify as an "assembly"?

Re: The Assembly

So, can one actually not attend a traditional "church" but fulfill the assembling clause by meeting with one or two others over the Bible for fellowship, study, praise, and worship?

I would say yes....

I would further add, how often does one have to assemble to fulfil this scripture?

Our friend Webster says:

Forsake: To renounce or turn away from entirely

Why is this constantly used to admonish those who miss one of the 3 or 4 servcies a week that most OP churches hold??

Sorry if this is a hijack, but in bugs me. If I have a business meeting on a Wendesday night, but have been at church Sunday AM, AND Sunday PM, AND Saturday morning prayer, etc.....AM I really FORSAKING the asssembly??

We live a good ways from the assembly we are a part of. Rarely do we attend anything outside Sundays.

In my opinion, "Yes"
