I dunno... it is pretty obvious when someone is 'causing trouble' yet so many devote way to much effort to getting irritated.

And the thing is, is that most trolls aren't even that good! I could do MUCH better if I wanted to.

To his day I have NEVER impersonated someone other than myself on a message board. :)

Other than having some fun with the avatars.....

I use the name Sam because when I joined one of the earlier boards people were using some kind of i.d. I chose Sam because that has been a nickname of mine for many years. I also often include my own name in a signature. I don't go to a Church where I have to fear that my pastor might see me expressing an opinion. I don't have peers in ministry that might destroy my ministry if I say something on a forum that doesn't agree with the "party line."

Now, I do change avatars a lot. Some times I'm George Clooney, some times Ken Haney, some times Verbal Bean, etc. but I usually go back to my standard picture I've used for several years now.

Trolls are annoying. It's probably a sin to be a troll. ;)

How do you impersonate yourself?

It ain't easy! Have to really dig into the depths of my acting abilities.....

Actually if I wanted to impersonate someone else it wouldn't be hard since I can, at this moment, chose between three completely different IP addresses to talk to the net on. LOL Our schools network, my T-Mobile 3G connection, or my home computer via Logmein (a remote control VPN service).

Well, if a person has mpd, he could just post from different personalities at different times.
