God's Grace, Love or Mercy will not SAVE you ...
 
only obedience to THE doctrine will.

Using Acts 5 as his sermon text at a church in Visalia, CA, Lee Stoneking, asserts that God's love, grace and mercy follows ... or come running ... after our obedience to THE doctrine.

The first 5-10 minutes might be the most scariest judaizing I've heard in A LONG, LONG TIME.

This theological difference alone is why this movement is so far from the Gospel.

Or is it obedience to " the man of God "

Around the time of the '93 resolution, James Larson preaching the exact same thing at Landmark in Stockton. He said, and I have the tape, that "We are not saved by grace, we're saved by the doctrine", and later expanded it to "Obedience to the doctrine."

I'd be interested to see if he still believes or propagates that. His current website looks more like Willow Creek than a local UPC church.

I might even accept your twist on it ... but according to LS ... Grace, Love and Mercy follow our obedience to the Doctrine ... which in the sermon includes compliance to external holiness.

Have not listened to it nor probably will as I never cared to listen to him anyway but YOU have little to talk about of being far from the gospel. When you negate baptism and what it is. That is about as far from truth as one can get. Also Grace,Mercy and Love won't save by themselves! It takes you as well.

freedom to do what? sin? Is that the freedom? Seems like everyone likes to make "freedom" a personal justification.

I didn't know you took issue with Paul and God's Word ... did you want to strike this verse from the record?

Do you ahor His Word that much?
