Something We All Know

The link below is to an article that should not serve as a shocker to anyone.

Also read the comments if you like. The one about Enlisted Military Members' support for the POTUS does not surprise me, but confirms what I had said a long time ago.

It's not a shocker. Both parties do this kind of thing. Bush as hitler. Bush as a bond villan, darth vader, etc. Remember the star wars parody that was sent around by Dems. Nothing new.

What's the point?

Re: the enlisted military members support for BHO, I don't take comments posted to a message board as fact. I would need verifiable proof before believing that the military voted for him 7-1.

The real question now becomes, do they still support him ... or, as it has for majority americans who voted for BHO, has the honeymoon wore off and they now regret their votes.

A nice quote from your linked story:

The best path to victory in 2010, the document advises, is for Republican candidates to depict themselves as the best hope for resisting the "trending toward socialism" taking shape in a Democrat-dominated Washington.

I agree with the idea that this is the best hope for Republicans and I agree with the general sentiment that the Republicans are the best hope in 2010 to keep America from slouching toward socialism.

Where is the issue here? I find nothing at all wrong with telling the truth.

Obama is a dangerous idealist with a western european socalist mindset and he hopes to reshape America in that mold.

and I for one want no part of it!

Sorry Jermyne, there is nothing at all contriversial about this action by the RNC. nothing at all in my mind.

By the way, if we are going to talk about leaked memo's how about the one where democrats wanted to insure that GWB didnt get a hispanic appointed to the supreme court because it would hurt dems for a republican to make the first hispanic appointment.

(hint, this was the reason they eviserated AG Gonzales)

I worked for AG Gonzales.

I do not consider him to be an honorable man, regardless of his hispanic-ness.

There was a reason that his "long-time pal" GWB abandoned him and GWB was known for not abandoning "his own", regardless of the fact that some of his own abandoned him.

Was there ever a time when the enlisted said they did not support the president?
