Neil Pert Drum Solo

For you drummers out there, BTW the entire thing rocked but I was intrigued how he ended it playing perfect time to a big band dance video

Man, I'll have to let my son watch that one, he's a drummer. How 4 different limbs can keep 4 different speeds and rythems at the same time, I'll never know...

Yeah I enjoyed it. Lot of people used to say that Pert wasn't really a drummer as much as he was a percussionist

Guitar player, not a drummer. But Peart is one of my Favorites.

Awesome! Have played for 25 years. Taught my son to play, and he puts me in the dust. In his graduating year he did a solo in front of 3 thousand students, faculty and parents, and got a standing ovation!!

You can only imagine how proud I was of my son. It was a day I'll never forget.

I had a feeling you might ask me that. You know, the school took the video and the students were manning the camera, and my son told me something happened to the equipment during the event. I'll ask him to see if maybe we can get it.

Like I said, it was an incredible moment. We (my son and I) worked on this intensely, and he absolutey smoked the crowd with a stellar performance. To be honest, I was stunned. He was flawless. He uses no double base pedal, and all kinds of musicians were coming up to him afterword, wondering how he did it. His Triplets are some of the best I've ever heard to this day.

He honestly could become proffesional if he wanted too, but his focus is on his family, which makes me a happy dad.
