God will avenge every drop of innocent blood?
"I stopped him so he could not dismember another innocent baby," Roeder said. "Wichita is a far safer place for unborn babies without George Tiller."
On Thursday, Roeder told the court that Tiller "dismembered living children with the nod of approval from the state." He said God's judgment against the U.S. will "sweep over this land like a prairie wind." "He will avenge every drop of innocent blood," Roeder said. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100401/...on_shooting_24 The accused speaks out. CAN WE CIVILLY DISCUSS THIS HERE? Will God's judgment against the U.S. will "sweep over this land like a prairie wind"? |

I hope I can discuss this in a civil manner.
Abortion is an approved medical procedure and is legal in this country with certain limitations. Women and girls in this country have a legal right to abortion. For some it is a desperate action because they see no alternative. For others it is a form of birth control and a way to get rid of an inconvenience. |

In my opinion, the person who killed this doctor has broken the law and should receive the punishment prescribed by the law. A killer has illegally killed a killer who has killed legally. In a way, this killer by killing another killer has stopped him from killing others.

Sam, I say "civil" because it's easy for this conversation topic to disintegrate into name calling etc. .

I live in Ohio. In this state a person can be charged and tried for killing an unborn child under certain circumstances. These circumstances would be if the unborn child was killed in an accident (vehicular homicide) or if the mother was killed resulting in the death of her unborn child. But, it is legal to abort/kill babies as a medical procedure.

Re: God will avenge every drop of innocent blood?
Many of us say we are against abortion.
Are we really? Do we make exceptions for: a diseased unborn child? a child that we think would be better off dead than living a poor quality of life? an unborn child who is the result of rape or incest? an unborn child who might cause the death of the mother if not aborted? a mother who may suffer emotional distress if she carries the baby full term? a child whose birth may result in catastrophic medical expense? |
Re: God will avenge every drop of innocent blood?
One of the strongest arguments made against the pacifists (which I sometimes identify as), is our obligation to go on the offensive and even kill to protect innocent human life.
This also seems to be the core of the argument being made by Roeder. Is it automatically a different argument because of the "legality" of abortion? |
