Another Record Attendance!
 

Our staff debated about having 2 services this morning. We normally have 2 services and have had for about 3 yrs. We have combined services previously when we had special things going on like at Christmas and Easter with kids programs. We've been pressed for seating space when we've done that. We decided to keep the 2 services and have the kids program at the 2nd service. We really didn't know what kind of turn out we would get but we had a combined attendance of about 375! (Ushers estimated more, but we'll stick with that number) No way we could have gotten all those folks in at one time and no way we could have handled the cars!

We celebrated communion in both services and had great worship! It was truly a celebratory day! I continue to marvel at God's grace in people's lives and I never tire of seeing Him move upon hearts! When I look out at the congregation, I see numerous miracles and it is humbling to be a part of it!

We are located on a main "artery" entering Sandusky and we are just waiting for someone to come along and offer us the right price for our 10 acres. It would be awesome to be able to build a new facility with a kids area second to none and have plenty of parking! All in the Lord's timing!

My heart is full of continued anticipation! Thank you, Lord! :D

Great report. But remember, many will feel intimidated by your "Count". I used to be so excited about a big turnout, but when the attendance falls, will we still praise.

Many in our District seek for the success of "How many", while those who struggle with just a few feel so left out.

Blessings to you, but don't forget the Pastor with his small number, but has a big heart for God.

You're so right! How could I forget the pastor with the "small" numbers....the 1st church I was privileged to pastor elected me with 8 votes.....and 3 were absent! (I was there for 13yrs) I worked a full time job most of those years and when we came here, there was not enough income to pay me full time either. I have a special appreciation for those pastors who basically work a secular job to be able to afford to pastor.

Also know what it's like to "invest" years of tears. In fact, about 4 yrs ago, I was seriously considering the possibility of my "mission" being completed here because things weren't going so well. The team pulled together, prayed, planned & worked and we are all now seeing the fruits of what God has so generously done. It is only the beginning! In due season, we shall reap if we faint not! :D
