Wedding at the Vanderbilt's (Biltmore Estate)

I will be having the privilege this afternoon of performing a wedding ceremony at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. This was George Vanderbilt's 250 room French Chateau built in 1895. If you have ever been there, you know what an incredible place this is!

A couple whom I've had the privilege of baptizing are getting married today. No, there not filthy rich. Their family has an affinity for this place and this is where they wanted to get married. The wedding will be in the very small Champaign Room in the Winery. Small wedding party, but elegant nonetheless.

This is a young man who I had the privilege of being his wrestling coach and now his pastor.

I've found out that if you stay in one place long enough, you get to experience all kinds of rich (no pun intended) blessings!

I'll try to post some pics later. You can also follow it on Twitter as it's easier to post pics that way right from my Iphone! I love my job!!! :D

Wow! Nice place! Now THESE are the types of weddings that a couple will remember! You do not need to spend tens of thousand inviting hundreds of guests.... Just keep it small and elegant, which is what this is! :)

That is my own tux. I bought it a couple years ago when Diane and I went on our 25th anniversary cruise to Hawaii. Not expensive by any means....K & G Men's mart! Bought the tux, for, I think $99 and got a suit 1/2 off or some ridiculous deal. I have black, gold and red bow ties with matching cumber-buns, so I let the bride tell me what color to wear. I get asked to do quite a few weddings, so, I give them the whole 9 yards! I really enjoy doing weddings! The whole "new start" thing energizes me! :D
