My mom was in love with Jimmie Carter because he was a Christian, of course my folks were Democrats from the word Go. The thought Roosevelt saved the country.

I think Jimmie Carter was a Christian but very inept as a President.
Also, he brought in all his crooked cronies and they made a mess and some had to leave in disgrace.
Like Clinton and his Arkansas cronies, Jimmy Carter and his local banking and law buddies just had a real cash cow with the local state's money, moving it around among themselves.
I remember reading about the Secret Service Men complaining of having to endure the pot smoke from his kids.
Then, the aborted mission to rescue our people from Iran and Jimmy Carter just sorta hid out till the term was over. He didn't even really campaign for a second term.
He returned to his Baptist Church in GA and left because they were not liberal enough. Then he got involved in Habitat for Humanity which is commendable. But since then he's just sorta spiraled downward. At one time he wanted the UN to oversee a U.S. Presidential election. Then he became an outspoken foe of Israel and supporter of the Palestinians. He even compared Israel's policies to that of Hitler. He became a pathetic joke of an old man.
