Motorola Droid
We (my wife and I) are getting a pair of Motorola Droid smart phones this evening. We did quite a bit of research and think these do everything we need, most of what we want, and probably a ton of things that we don't even KNOW we want yet.
Does anyone else here have one? Do you like it? Or is this "Not the droids were looking for?" I know I know.... "Get the iPhone dude!!!! Mac Rocks! Steve Jobs is GOD! -or should be!", some will say. We DID look at the iPhone, but we need something with a keyboard, something with an open architecture as far as apps go (more important to me then my wife), and last but not least, something that can support Flash. Oh yes, the battery life on the Droid is phenomenal -according to multiple reviews, many users, and the sales rep hawking it. |
Re: Motorola Droid
Yep, I will be getting the Droid next month. Did the verizon rep tell you that the 8g memory card comes with it for free.

Keep us informed once you use it. :telephone
Inquiring minds want to know. |
Re: Motorola Droid
I was planing on getting a Droid...but now that I've seen the previews for Windows Mobile 7 series phones, I'm going to wait till those come out!

Re: Motorola Droid
I still got a year to go with ATT and iPhone. I do like the iPhone, but I have also had to make 2 x 1 and a half hour trips to the Apple store to get it replaced because of poor quality control. Round trip means total of 6 hours drive time out of my way and another 2 hours at least waiting for the genius to get to me. Unacceptable.
Thinking droid or maybe windows 7 mobile next trip around. |
Re: Motorola Droid
I would like to be simply cut free from these things, but I do lean toward the driod point of view rather than iPhone. The iPad has possibilities tho.

Re: Motorola Droid
I've had my Droid for two months and I absolutely love it. It seems like almost everyday I find out about a new feature. My only complaint is that the battery drains quickly.

Link to the Incredible's specs: http://mashable.com/2010/04/13/htc-incredible-specs/ As for the iPhone, they can keep their closed source hardware/software. |

Oh yes, it comes with a 16 gig microSD card. I didn't even know the microSD's got that big. |
