Stoneking was in Midland Michigan last week...
 

Some of my friends from church went to hear Stoneking preach at Midland last Saturday. They had asked me if I wanted to go and I declined due to other obligations, plus he'll he preaching at a church one city away in June.

Anyway, they drove 2 hours (one way) to hear him preach on... hair. I'll have the CD hopefully tonight and upload it. It was noted by my friend (an avid Stoneking fan) that Stoneking said he didn't believe there were any "additional blessings" associated with hair. I'll have to listen myself to confirm.

Another buddy of mine who went said that he saw at least three people who weren't "in church" (evident by their clothing and hair) that walked out 15 minutes in the the message.

Saddens me a bit, we need to preach Jesus.

He is supposed to preach at my parents church this summer. Not sure if I will go or not. I have only been to their church one time and it was very much a "pentecostal" service so I am sure Stoneking will fit right in there.

As far as someone actually walking into his office and confronting him about it (in a good spirit, or even not), I highly doubt it has happened. The politics with LS run too deep and those who complain about his HMH in private will "amen!" him in public.

I could be wrong about the confronting issue, but I doubt it.

Ok I went to this cats site...Why does he have the resurection...as being filled with the holyghost.. the resurection is coming up out of the water..you go down to represent the burial and come out of the water to represent the resurection/new man....yea I might have to come see ya delta if this cat comes to your parents church....I will be kicked out I will go ahead and tell ya.....

It's funny you say that. I attend a small church and like I said before, he'll be right down the street. Were trying to schedule a round table discussion with him, but the main agenda is Spiritual Gifts. I am going to compile a list of questions for him regarding his view on hair. I am a nobody in the realm of Pentecostal Politics, but here's hoping.

Lee Stoneking is a Pentecostal Celebrity. I have several good friends who practically worship this man, kissing the ground he walks on. They even started a "Fan Club" and would almost faint if he laid his hands on them.

I've heard him preach many times (in person), and he's a Showboat (what draws the crowd).

Whenever men reach this level in Religion, they become untouchable for the most part, creating an Idol mentallity. This leads to a false image of what the ministry is truly about, causing the young to want the spotlight and the stage.

I've heard Bro Stoneking preach Jesus many times. I would be happy to go hear him preach if he ever comes to my area again. Bro Stoneking is an awesome Man of God and I admire and respect him as do many many other people. :thumbsup
