Re: Here it is...............Don't laugh to Hard!
Oh God. I am SO sorry! There's this element of wanting to laugh and then a complete feeling of guilt for wanting to laugh.
Were and are you ok? My goodness. I can't imagine having put all that time into a production and then having this happen at the most crucial moment. I just feel terrible for you and the church. I guess in the end of it all, I can't laugh. I guess the only moment that's actually funny....ironic maybe.....is listening to the moans and groans of sadness over the crucified Jesus...moans that are scripted and acted...suddenly turning to cries of "Jesus"....for real!!! Screw-ups are part of anything but for it to happen at the crucifixion is just awful. And you were seriously knocked unconscious? I guess with your arms pinned to the cross, you had nothing with which to break your fall. I'm SO sorry!!! |
Re: Here it is...............Don't laugh to Hard!
Actually, I didn't find it very funny- I felt bad for you! Hope you are ok.

Maybe it could fall into the category of, "It wasn't funny then, but it's funny now", but I'm with you. Considering the time and effort put into a very serious production that completely imploded at the worst possible moment, and considering the physical harm that came that probably could have been much worse, it's not funny. I know this isn't a debate on, "Is it funny......Is it not funny", but I agree with you. |
Re: Here it is...............Don't laugh to Hard!
Its hilarious! Mostly the guy yelling Jesus as you fell.

:thumbsupThis was back in 06'. Yes I am OK. Shoulders were sore for awhile. My right one still bothers me a little.
Yes it happened at a "Crucial" time. However, that night was a night I will never forget!! I will try in a nutshell to tell you about it. I had for several months being seeking God for a new direction in our life(Wife, daughter) After the Cross fell, they carried me to the room where all the cast hangs out between scenes. I heard the Pastor say they were going to perform the last song. "The Power of Pentecost"! I asked the pastor how could we have Pentecost without Christ rising again? He asked could I do It? I said Yes!! They were singing "My Redeemer Lives" when I came out of the tomb. I had on no make-up, wig, etc.. Just me!!! Keep in mind I had at the time been in the Ministry for 14 Years. But, when I came out of the Tomb that night!!!! OMG!!! Did he ever manifest himself that night!!! People of all denominations were on thier knees under the Presence of God!! I knew that night what it meant to fall as Dead Men!! Spiritually I have never been the same! Allthough I left the UPC a few months later.....................I still feel that same Glory I felt that night. If not for that Presence...........After I left..............Well I might not have Survived!! Thats another story.................. |
