Traveling to Knoxville, TN

Leaving in the morning to travel to Knoxville, TN. As some of you know, I will be racing in my first ever triathlon on Mother's Day. Diane forgave me for doing this on Mother's Day! LOL Actually, when I signed up, I didn't know it was Mother's Day....oops! Most of the stuff leading up to the race will be taking place a World's Fair Park. There will be a worship concert tomorrow night and a family movie after that. Race start is at Volunteer Landing near Calhoun's and my wave, (the old guys) starts at 8:45am. My goal is to finish in 3hrs. We'll see.

The folks who put this event on, Revolution3, are committed Christians. Heather Gollnick, is a 5 time Ironman champion and along with her husband, they will be putting on 3 races this year. The final, at Cedar Point, in Sandusky is where I will be attempting and Ironman. I'm ready for this Olympic distance tri, but still have a ways to go for the Iron distance race in Sept.

If anyone in the area wants to get together, let me know. I am taking a young man in our church with me. So, if you want to hang out some, call my cell - 419-239-3429. :D

If you want a good steak go to Ye Ole' Steak House not too far from the Worlds Fair Park. It is awesome!

I 2nd the idea of Ye Olde Steakhouse. If you want a good steak, it is folly to go anywhere else.

Good luck on the race.
