Re: Happy Mothers Day!
Please, don't let this hijack the thread, but
That is how "long hair" looked in the nineteen fifties in the areas where I was at that time (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio). I was not raised in Pentecost but became a Christian in 1955 and received the Holy Ghost Baptism in 1956. Many of the girls at Bible school (1956/1957) wore their hair like that. When I came to Cincinnati in 1957, I met a young lady who wore her hair like that and the following year she became my wife. Older women wore theirs "up." |
Re: Happy Mothers Day!
Yes! You're right Sam.
By the time I was a toddler, she started wearing it in a french twist. |

Re: Happy Mother's Day!
This is a REPRINT from my Mother's Day post, May 2007, The thread title was
"What Mother's Day Means to Me". http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...?t=3484&page=3 Falla39 http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...aig/falla9.jpg Falla39 and husband of 50 yrs. sitting in front. The other ones in the picture are Falla's nine siblings. Three sisters and six brothers .(lost a brother in 2007). With much patience and love, our parents raised us in the fear and admonition of the Lord. I rise up and call my late Mother blessed today! |
Re: Happy Mother's Day!
Have a blessed Mother's Day - remembering our mothers who have left this world for a better one and our mothers still with us.
