Wiccan Witches: No Power in Uncut Hair

This just in .....for what it's worth, MEMO TO Jan Jasinski, Lee Stoneking and other false teachers:

.... most Wiccan witches agree there is no added or extra power in uncut hair while recognizing it is used in ritual magick... but so is eye newt, toe of frog ... wool of bat and tongue of dog.

One witch, Grace, states:

Quote:

i agree. Whether we have long or short hair does not make a difference to the ability one is born with. Yes religious connections and beliefs played a big part way back then, but these days some choose to have the long hair as they may llke the mystical look about them.. Making sense? In otherwords each to their own. Whatever feels right. But hair does not give you extra power and the you don't lose power if it's cut.

Blessings,
Grace.
Most PRACTICING WITCHES on the following forum thread believe, ironically, it's a BIBLE TALE OR MYTH.
One accurately states it is a misguided belief among many cultures, religions, etc.

I agree. But what about the sources that Stoneking gives? "Shaking hair in the wind amplifies a spell..." etc etc.

Do Stonekings sources state specificly "uncut" hair is powerful, or just hair in general? I can't remember and don't feel like listening to that message again.

It's been awhile since I looked at the sources...but I don't recall seeing *anything* about uncut hair. Yes, hair, toenails, skin scrapings...are used in magick. But uncut has nothing to do with it. And it'd be taking what for most witches is a *very* minor part of their magick, if used at all, and amplifying it to make his own point...

I spent quite a few hours looking this up at one point, not in a place in my life I can do it right now.

Jasinski, licensed UPCI minsister, and the "primary" HMH researcher of many of the occult connections to hair has made this very assertion ...

in her first blog post of 2009 she writes:

Quote:

Hair to the Apostolic Pentecostal woman is more than just HAIR, it’s considered her glory. There are probably over 100,000 Apostolics here in America and around the world that know about 1 Cor. 11. Here are some things to ponder. Do you believe hair is your glory or do you consider it JUST HAIR?

Did you know that witches won’t cut their hair because they try to tap into the power promised to us in 1Cor 11? Do you know why Indians used to scalp their enemies? Do you know why Nuns and Buddhist monks shave their hair? What does tar and feathering mean? Do you know who it was that first starting the hair cutting trend? What date was that? What about the hippie movement?
What significance is there when hair is found at the scene of a crime?

These are the some topics I discuss in my book, MY HAIR MY GLORY. I hope to blog more to help those still struggling with this topic. I quote over 300 resources that I found when researching on the subject.

LIE.

I will check the Stoneking archives today. He does quote Woodward who simply makes a connection to power in his spiel about the spiritual signficance hair ... but Stoneking messages might provide some more data.

OK, Dan, OK. Go ahead and cut your hair if you want. None of us will look down on you for it.

I cut my hair about every 3 weeks ... but I have instructed my wife to start growing out her hair ... for added protection.
