Curve Ball...Healthier Eating

So there have been several threads about different health from 'wanting to lose 10 lbs' to MOW Triathlon. I am sure that everyone on here either wants to lose some weight, get healthy or stay healthy.

I have been listening to a radio program about MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). One of the guests is a Nutritionist and writes for one of the MMA magazines that I get. Anyway she was going over healthy options at different restaurants. The reason I started this thread is to see what you all do to eat healthy or try and do that. I think that this thread could be a place to share ideas and pointers that help to keep the 'bad' type of hunger away. For the night owl what you use to keep the sweet tooth at bay, etc. What do you all do or anything that you would like to know this would be a good place to post questions or concerns.

For me one thing I did when losing weight was not eat after 9 pm. Also I would keep some skim milk around with some Hershey Syrup around that has VERY little calories. I would make a small chocolate milk if I had a sweet tooth attack. So what kind of advise do you have or what advise or you looking for?

For me, I stay away from sugar, white flour and High Fructrose corn syrup.

I use to eat a lot of ice cream and shakes, aswell as fast food. I've all but givin up fast food entirely. and I drink a protein shake or 3........seems to scratch the itch as far as ice cream. I've stayed away from sweets consitantly since last september, except on the holidays.

I'm down 75 lbs over the last 8 months.

Good for you man! I drink several shakes a day when I am hitting the gym. On days I am not hitting it I don't drink them as much. There are some awesome shakes out there.
