A Historical Question for Sam .
 

Do you remember Elder Hinshaw (sp?) , from Gary Indiana he pastored The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. As I understand he was strong on the Holiness message, Separation from the world ,the dress code,and no pagan holidays . He would have been there in the 1940's -1950 era perhaps later . My dear Grandmother can't remember if it was on Delaware or Virginia St.
This was the place that my grandparents were buried in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission sins. They both received the Holy Ghost
in prayer meetings in the saints homes.
I do realize that you and I are on totally opposite ends of the spectrum concerning dress and separation from the world .

No, I don't ever remember hearing of Eld. Hinshaw.
I was born in 1937 in Waukegan, Illinois but lived in SE Wisconsin from around 1943 till 1956. My family was not from a Pentecostal or Apostolic background. I received the Holy Ghost Baptism in 1956 in a UPC church in Racine, Wisconsin, left for St. Paul, MN in September 1956, and came here to the SW area of Ohio in 1957.
