Obama taps Harold Hurtt for Immigration Chief

Ok, is it me or isn't this like the UN electing Sudan and Iran to be on the UN human rights commission..here's the story

The Obama administration has tapped an outspoken critic of immigration enforcement on the local level to oversee and promote partnerships between federal and local officials.

Harold Hurtt, a former police chief in Houston and Phoenix, has been hired as the director for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Office of State and Local Coordination. Starting July 6, Hurtt will supervise outreach and communication between ICE, local law enforcement agencies, tribal leaders and representatives from non-governmental organizations.

It could be like that. OR, and this is more likely, it is like hiring someone that favors standard federal immigration laws over diverse local immigration laws.

He has already stated that he will "support local law enforcement agencies' decision to participate in any ICE program of their choosing, even if it involves questioning suspects on the street about their status", so I don't see what the issue is here.

Just one more idiotic move in an administration plagued by idiotic moves.

I have ceased to be surprised.

Immigration is one thing, being a state that borders s country whose citizens are crossing over illegally, is another imo

Instead of deporting illegals, they should put them in prison work camps for 5 0r so years. USA on of few countries that there's little fear of being caught cossing the border.

Anyone heard that BHO may issue an executive order giving amnesty to all illegals bypassing Congress and their approval?

Even the black police officers did not like him when he was in Houston. He was not a good chief here. One thing he didn't want to stay they wouldn't let him out of his contract.
