wow, so they won the case then turned around and dismissed it ? lol. Can't get more blatant than that.

The fact that this was dismissed is what I understand the question to be. If that is the case then my answer is, no, this is not racism. Is this favoritism gee... let me think.........:trashcan ...........smells like trash. Favoritism yes, racism no.
The action of the NBP towards voters at the polls was blatant racism and intimidation towards White voters. I'm sure other ethnicities of people were intimidated as well, but this case is pertaining to those that are White. The charges should not have been dropped, and if this were reversed...imagine what would have happened if when Bush ran for his second term the KKK was at polling places with miniature crosses or people hanging from miniature trees....please there would undoubtedly be riots to say the least. The DOJ needs some house cleaning. This is unacceptable...and people need to make a stink about this and let them know how appalling their actions are. I have to say someone has one foot out the White House already, and the other just may soon follow.

Also, I remember there being a discussion here about Trent Lott's comments concerning Strom Thurmond's segregationist past. Here are Bill Clinton's recent comments supporting Robert "Sheets" Byrd's past involvement - not just as a segregationist - but justifying Byrd holding the post of Grand Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

correction: He wasn't an "Imperial Wizard" but a "Kleagle" and later an "Exalted Cyclops."
