Crab Fest 2010

Crab Fest 2010 was a huge success. We had so many visitors we moved many of our regulars out into the hall and packed the church out.

Then we served 10 bushels of Maryland Bluecrabs and over 500 hamburgers and hotdogs plus side dishes.

There were more people there I didn't know than ones I did. This is one of our biggest outreaches of the year.

Is numbers a sign of success? Did anyone repent of their sins?

Patience. Patience. Patience. Can't bring a baby home and expect him to write a thesis.

I applaud any outreach. Plant the seed and let God grow them to maturity.

I think your post is...well...hmmm...well kind of...nevermind.

As a matter of fact I only know of one that did, but I wasn't in the service because I was doing set up. However that isn't the point of crabfest. It is a way for our church to do something for the community and introduce them to what servant based Christianity is all about.

CrabFest is the culmination of our month of July Solemn Assembly and a three day revival. Saturday night I had the privilege of leading someone to the Lord, ironically I have been praying for a close friend of mine to come to the Lord, and this person had her name :) The Lord knew.

This woman has never been to church and a friend had brought her. Today she brought her husband and children to the festivities, she said she WILL be back.

Baron, I don't see anything wrong with the outreach your church is doing, really, I don't. But I think my question was a fair question. What is your measure of success?

That alone is the worth effort. :)

I'm not impressed with big numbers, that's all.

After reading this post, if I said what I'm thinking, I would surely be banned from the Forum for all of eternity. What a completely ridiculous, religious thing to say.

The other stuff I wanted to say is MUCH more appropriate.

Unbelievable.
