AFF is like...
 

I just had an amusing thought and thought I would share...

Lurking at AFF is kinda like looking in the backyard of Apostolia, when they have invited their friends over for a barbecue.

Lurking at (insert acronym for preachers forum here) is more like looking in the bedroom of Apostolia...

We envisioned it to be like looking into the fellowship hall at a church - where all types of people gathered together, talking about whatever in their own little groups.

If that is indicative of their "bedrooms", I shutter.

I think you guys have hit the mark... as long as the Fellowship Hall is full of different types of people (like you would find at a Wedding or Anniversary party, etc.)... that was more of a jab at the preacher's forums. lol.

The problem is what's talked about in their bedrooms should just be between two people - - not others. I do see your point. I think some underestimate the "privacy" of their forums or the confidentiality of their posters.

And of course, I'm not actually in the backyard or the bedroom, I'm just peeking over the fence or peering through the curtains (shudder) fascinated by a game I don't understand and don't want to play, yet can't get enough of how the ones playing it are so fascinated with it.

But a fellowship hall where the room won't grow suddenly silent if you say something out of "the box".

I love it....I live a high tension life, full of responsibilities, go into often very dangerous areas...this is a place where I have friends and I can run here and relax...and my friends here pray for me...what a joy...Sometimes I go weeks without posting other tmes my modem will pick up and I get to post from some of the most awesome places on earth: THE MISSION FIELD.

This week I am in an awesome place...a little unique city by the Amazon jungle...both native people from this city and indians roam the streets...tonight we will be having a service at an indian's home....
