Words Mean Something... RevsHoney Rocks!!

I sold my boat this last weekend and cut a deal with the Lady that was buying it. She & her Fiance came to the house with her kids.... 4 (Little Girl) and 7 (Little boy) Cute Kids...

Well they came to the house and fell in love with the boat... said they had been looking for awhile and finally found what they were looking for.

They came in the house and she told my wife she had come thru a terrible divorce last year and it had been tough but she had met the man who had came with her and they were planning on being married.

Her kids wondered around our house and then I opened the Garage door and the little guy saw some of our "toys" he told his Mother... "I wish we were rich like these people"... My wife instantly said to him.. "Your mother is doing the best she can for you and your Sister and you should appreciate everything she is doing... " and they took the boat and left...

that was Sunday Afternoon... she called last night and said..Thank you so much... for the Boat and what your wife said to my son.. she said it has made quite an impact on him??? I was taken back a bit then she told me what was said...

I said here you can talk to my wife....

Short story they are coming down in two weeks and want to meet us for dinner... we will find a way to share the Gospel with them... but I was amazed at the power of Words and how they impacted a little seven year old boys life and his MOM...

anyways.. give someone a good word today... and see how much it will impact them!!

oh yeah!!! Revshoney Rocks!!!

RevRandy, she is a great help to you.

THAT is what being a Christian is all about! Thanks for sharing this and I pray that you guys will have an opportunity to minister to them.

I'd probably take this one step further and teach my own kids something. Maybe they would be willing to "give up" one of the toys that they don't play with as much to the little boy since he doesn't have as much as they do.

I bet these folks felt the warmth of love in your home too!

Rev Randy,

Did you and your wife get the chance to follow up with this family?

What happened?

Where are they today?

I'm afraid you'll bump all night long Bro.

RevRandy may have been able to help this lady and her family but he he has pretty much bailed out of AFF because he could "help" us.

I don't think he ever felt that way.

He never expressed his frustration with us heathens if he did feel that way-- or maybe I just misunderstood his frustration for love.
