The racist card get's used again-ground zero

Nearby, several hundred people who support the mosque chanted "Muslims are welcome here. We say no to racist fear."

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/08/22...eling-rallies/

This is from Foxnews regarding opposite protests near ground zero over the Mosque.

First off, I want to point out the issue many of the anti-protesters have has to do with the sponsors and the money trail of this Mosque leading back to terrorists. But even if this really was just about Islamics, that is not racism. Islam is not a race. These people have learned well how to obfuscate like a liberal, use the race card.

Is this really about religion? Why aren't there protests all across the country against every proposed Mosque then?

The whole issue is very irritating. For one thing, they are not speaking one bit about the Burlington Coat Factory being hit and having a part of the plane crashing into the roof, cause the building to be closed making it part of Ground Zero.

They are not speaking about Imam Rauf's connections, the Sharia Index Project he is involved with or where the funding will be coming from.

Rauf's wife continually will only say that they want to use this to prove that not all Muslims are terrorists and that they have the Constitutional rights. They keep saying this over and over, while using the race card to boot.

Rick Lazio kept bringing it up Rauf's connections and why are we not concerned about this on Meet The Press, but they kept going back to Daisy Kahn's talking points. They want it built.

The race card is so very over used.

When legitimate racial violence and racist bigotry happens (like right after 9/11) everyone is too numb to respond properly.

It's just a bad idea and definitely not following the way of peace like Islam claims to subscribe to.

I believe it's their right to build, but it sure seems so wrong to me.

?

Muslims lie. Muslimism or Islam is not a race. They are playing the race card because it triggers the libs.
Many are Arabs, millions are Black and many are Asian. The largest Muslim country is Indonesia. Not an arab country at all.
They are settting it uop for us to argue against a strawman.
We do know if we follow their Quran, they are violent and wicked to non Muslims in order to please allah.
Allah is not a god of love but one of judgement and control.

This video may offend many, if only because of the language used. But it's what happened when a black man walked through the anti-mosque protest in NYC yesterday. You might want to turn the sound down. I think the visual will be enough.

I'd also point out that Ron Paul states very succinctly why the anti-mosque people are wrong:

Quote:

The debate should have provided the conservative defenders of property rights with a perfect example of how the right to own property also protects the 1st Amendment rights of assembly and religion by supporting the building of the mosque.

Instead, we hear lip service given to the property rights position while demanding that the need to be "sensitive" requires an all-out assault on the building of a mosque, several blocks from "ground zero."

(snip)

The outcry over the building of the mosque, near ground zero, implies that Islam alone was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. According to those who are condemning the building of the mosque, the nineteen suicide terrorists on 9/11 spoke for all Muslims. This is like blaming all Christians for the wars of aggression and occupation because some Christians supported the neo-conservative’s aggressive wars.

You mean the money trail for the money that has not been raised yet? lol. The sponsors have already said they will be transparent with the financials. If the money is what it is really about, then everyone is jumping the gun, since no fund-raising has begun yet.

Ron Paul, I love that man. Voted for him in the primaries, would have probably voted for him in the Presidential elections if he would have ran.

Twisp, Ron Paul is a pacifist wacko. I had to deal with his nuttiness many years ago when I lived in Texas. Libertarians have just as unrealistic a view of the role of government as Communist. If they ever got their way and magically could transform the Federal Government into what they would like it to be there would be chaos.

Isolationist who think in the 21st century you can just close your eyes and the rest of the world will go away are naive in the worst possible way. The USA had better stay fully engaged in the world wielding as much influence as possible to keep on top of nuclear proliferation.
