Why not go Charismatic?

I think we should. I was just thinking about the threads on preaching against sin or preaching on hell. If we had the gifts operating would we need to? The Lord can just speak to the Pastor or someone about another person's sins and the pastor can confront that person in private. I know if I was living in sin that would get my attention.

Or a powerful message in tongues and interpretation? We can let the Lord do it while the preachers just preach other things.

BTW where do the gifts really operate? What kind of church?

The gifts today operate very rarely, be it oneness Pentecostal, trinitarian Pentecostal or charismatic type 'churches'. Going charismatic doesn't cause the gifts to be more frequent any more than charismatics going Pentecostal would cause the gifts to be more frequent.

The gifts operate in the lives of individuals, not some religious organization or label.

You are hanging out in the wrong places. We are actually seeing more signs and wonders and all 9 categories of gifts.

I wasn't using the word Charismatic doctrinally, but rather to emphasize the gifts. I think we need to emphasize the gifts more, let them operate and expect them.

It depends on what one means by "charismatic". In a way, we already are. However, if you're talking about keeping doctrine (Oneness of God and Acts 2:38 salvation) and dropping antiquated "standards", I could support it.

Yeah. And more souls added, the dead are raised and the lame are walking. Wherever coadie is is where it's happening!

The rest of you are just unlearned and ignorant.

Then we have the darwinists that lost the gifts of Knowledge and wisdom
They peddle the fairy tale of life from non life.

All tempered by Coadie's inability to deliver the goods ...

Like his inability to show how Pastor Sims was a union leader ...

Or his assertion that all psychoanalysts are medical doctors.

The little Farceur is reminiscent of a charlatan selling Wonder Jarabe as a panacea, from behind his covered wagon ... with the assistance his under-secretary (who also licks his mail.)

And adding your universalism?
