GC Houston 2010

If anyone going to the Houston Conference would like to meet up, PM me for my phone number.

I will sticky this thread and I will post to it as I can from the conference. Anyone else going can do the same thing.

I would love to meet all my AFF friends if possible.

The weather is going to be PERFECT!:bliss

I'm not going, but the seminars look interesting.

I know several families that can not afford to go to the conference because of the entrance fees.

Seems there should at least be a family rate.

A family of 4 has to pay $60.00 a the door for just one service.

That is pretty steep. Registering for the week is more cost effective. Of course, the alternative is losing everyone's soul while those dreadful offerings are being taken up.

True but for a family of four early registration is still $200.00.

Aren't those "Dreadful offerings" taken up anyway? That's what I heard. I could be wrong. Haven't been to GC in 20+ years.

Hmmm.....so a General Conference thread posted in the sticky area is in reality a complain-about-the-cost thread. I'll tell you what, I just get sick and tired of all this UPC bashing that goes on here on AFF. This forum is just all about bashing the UPC. No wonder all the cons left.:)

I guess I have no real problem with "charging" for expenses incurred associated with the event - whatever it is. I also believe the speakers should only be remunerated their costs incurred.

Maybe things have changed but in years past, speakers weren't paid anything. I actually know a man who was asked to speak and refused on that basis. His name appears on this forum occasionally.
