Judicial Activism.... At Its Worst
A Judge's ruling forces an injunction on the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
The Obama Administration is expected to not let her ruling stand, and the Justice Department has 60 days to challenge it. President has been very clear in his desire for this issue to be addressed by Congress. 'Look, I will not use my discretion in any way that will step on Congress' ability to be the sole decider about this policy here,' " -President Obama The rest of the story is linked below. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_gays_i...RnZW9yZGVyc2Q- |

Re: Judicial Activism.... At Its Worst
They are usually the ones who feel like they have a mission, a purpose, maybe even a RESPONSIBILITY to move our country in the right direction.
(there goes those liberals taking responsibility again...) :) Like I said, I think this is the wrong direction and I fully expect the Obama Administration to challenge this injunction. |

Barack Obama supported gay rights during his Illinois Senate tenure. He sponsored legislation in Illinois that would ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. Obama is the strongest supporter of gays we have ever had for President. Quote:

I am still expecting his Administration to challenge the injunction in an effort to force Congress to strengthen or repeal, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." |
