Washington Post on Sarah Palin Myths

Five myths about Sarah Palin

"Yet, while practically everybody has an opinion about Palin, not all of those opinions are grounded in reality. Many of them are based more on a "Saturday Night Live" caricature than on the living, breathing, 46-year-old mother of five"

Sarah was the best of the 4 on the ticket. She is honest and has great character. I see why they lie about her. She threatens commonsense values missing in the lefties.

I would have to agree with that.

Re: Washington Post on Sarah Palin Myths

Sarah Palin was a political novice at the time and I don't mean experience in running the government of Alaska but she didn't have a lot of experience or knowledge at the time of big beltway politics. She really didn't have a clue what McCain was about other than being told he was a maverick but as the interview showed she was clueless really on what issues he was a maverick on.

Now that she has had time she has probably caught up a lot but at the time I don't think she was the best candidate

I can agree with that too, but of the FOUR - Palin, Obama, Biden, McCain, was the best choice (she is the reason I could stomach voting for McCain.)

I voted "none of the above"...I was bothered that the best the Rs could give us was McCain and an unknown woman who was not prepared for prime time politics

Make no mistake, she was loved by the Rs and could get them excited but that is not enough to the independents

Well said Prax. I thought McCain choosing her was a rather cheap ploy. That is one of the reasons I've never been that impressed with her.
