OUR Newest church
Our newest church is located in the backlands of the state of Bahia. It is about 25 miles from the little city of Cacule where we were this weekend in their little convention. We had phase 1 dedication service Monday night. In is in a little village full of devil worshippers...Please keep these precious people in your prayers.

Re: OUR Newest church
They have no benches and only had 2 chairs...one chair for Brother Alvear and one for me! No doors or windows...borrowed lights from the neighbor, no bathroom or even outhouse...however it did not bother them to stand for hours and worship...

Re: OUR Newest church
When I think of American churches to spend upwards of a million dollars in this area to build a building with marble facing that can only sit a few hundred, I want to cry. In fact I have some tears welling up now.
Many of our people and pastors really have become building centric idol worshipers. Looking at this church and how its folks are proud of what they have makes me ashamed to be a American Christian. Thanks for keeping it real in the mission field Sister A. |
