Dancing....
So I was reminded today of a video I saw a few years back. The video was played on a religious talk show. The video had been recorded several years before that so I am guessing the video would be at least 10-15 years old now.
The video showed a lady dancing, classicly sort of, under the spirit. She danced to NO music for like 15 minutes, maybe more. It was one of the most beautiful acts of worship I have seen. It was NOT a typical Pentecostal dancing Shockamoo. I am sure to a trained eye they would have said it was horrible or something. But to me it was a beautiful act of worship. What do you all think about this? I don't think that it is wrong at all. Has this happened to any of you all on here or have you only done the traditional Pentecostal dancing where limbs, clothes and hair pins go everywhere? |
Re: Dancing....
Probably more in line with how David danced before the Lord!

Re: Dancing....
I was visiting a church and there was a woman doing a choreogeaphed dance that I assume was cultural (vietnamese, maybe). The dance was cool, but it seemed out of place with the tone of the service (it didn't fit the music).

Re: Dancing....
I agree Renda.
houston....I have NO trouble with dancing like this. Organized chaos is still chaos and that is not a good thing. |

Re: Dancing....
What do I think? I think you have way too much time on your hands if you watched 15 minutes of a lady dancing to no music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Re: Dancing....
I witnessed my no nonsense down to earth Mother dance in the spirit, a quiet floating movement in worship that was beautiful. I cannot remember if there was music or singing at the time. It brings tears to my eyes just remembering the experience.
