Concerning the issue about the "first" and "last" letters, I am reminded of how God intended at His creation of man, that everything in our lives beyond that point would be a matter of "order," but then when sin entered the picture everything got sort of "out of order." But, if we will but take heed to His commandments, and obey them "to the letter," at the ending everything will be understood for it will once again exist in its "proper order."

Agreed, this is perhaps a strange way of thinking about this, but it serves to make sense to me. How 'bout you?
