Apostolic News: AFF has been HIJACKED
Perhaps in retaliation for the KAL BOORA incident it seems the editors at Apostolic news believe that Trinitarians and backsliders are taking over AFF .... or perhaps lack of knowledge of the diversity among apostolics ????
http://www.apostolicnews.org/2011/01...Apostolic+News) Paul, you've pulled a Kal Boora. |

Re: Apostolic News: AFF has been HIJACKED
Read: "Careful not to question our teaching. Keep your people in fear and ignorance, learning only from our endorsed index of books and websites. We are afraid and intimidated." We go get plastic doctoral degrees, posture ourselves as the know-it-alls, thrive on you looking to us as the Messiah, and build up a distorted perspective of discipling.
Their publication and indictment of AFF will only attract more people here. Mark my words. Sad... |

Re: Apostolic News: AFF has been HIJACKED
I can fully understand the concern within traditional Oneness Pentecostalism. The sect has never tolerated free exchange of thoughts.
So much of the extra biblical trappings are justified with "pretzel logic" they do not encourage thinking outside their paradigm as it does not hold up. Most who are fearful of AFF and like forums are good hearted well intentioned people I am sure. They simply see it as a pandora's box that once opened will cause their saints / relatives / loved ones ,etc to start looking at some of the traditions and start questioning them. |

Re: Apostolic News: AFF has been HIJACKED
I disagree that there is any "filth" on the AFF; however, I agree that this is not a child-friendly site. My children can participate in forums like this when they are adults and not a moment before, if I have any say in it.
Most discussion forums cover topics that are not child-friendly. For one thing, children are still developing ideas and belief systems, and that should be parent-directed--not "stranger-on-the-internet-directed." Once we have raised our children to the best of our ability and they are well settled in the fundamentals, they can discuss things with their peers and elders to their hearts' content. Beyond that, there are discussions with themes that are purely adult in nature. So, I agree with them that this is not a child-safe site. It isn't intended to be. |

They've already preached about this forum in indirect ways. This is the first time so explicitly. Ha... and with such educated words by journalistic standards ("filth" was used twice). This is the Chief Editor? :heeheehee |
