Could You Be Deceived!

Could you tell the difference between a wolf and the sheep of the Good Shepherd!

A sheep would never want to be in wolf's clothing. HIS Sheep have no reason to
appear to be something, or somone they are not.

A wolf could and perhaps would, like to be hid in sheep's clothing.
A wolf by nature is deceptive. In other words a wolf would lie/deceive someone,
because he is a wolf.
A true sheep knows that lying is deceptive, and knows where all liars will go.
A true sheep would never want to lie/deceive intentionally.

True sheep WILL hear the Good Shepherd's Voice and follow HIM! They will not
follow a stranger (know them that labor among you.) A stranger's voice that tells
them, "You will not surely die", would be suspect.

Just some thoughts, but never to offend!

I like this because it make me think, of times I thought people were on thing and ended up being something else.

I have trusted people that should not have been trusted, believed people at face value only to find that they were deceptive.

It is interesting to me that you have to suffer some pain in order to find these things out.

Elizabeth,
I think we all have to learn to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves".
These experiences teach us and will help us to better discern these things.

You know what's worse than a wolf in sheep's clothing? A wolf in shepherd's clothing!

Sheep are very strange creatures," I don't mean that in a bad way" If you have ever had the chance to be around them like I have you learn a lot about their habits and weakness.
In old times farmers use to put a bell around the neck of the ram. Where ever he went the flock would follow. Once a farmer put a bell around the neck of a goat and turned it loose in the pasture. Guess what, the entire flock follow that goat all day. Sometimes I think we don't take enough time to stop and look we just follow the sounds that are familiar to us..

Even if a shepherd was in wolf's clothing, hopefully there would be some
wise old sheep that was so in tune with, and had listened to the Chief
Shepherd's Voice so long, that they wouldn't listen to a false shepherd's
voice. and would refuse to follow him.
Just sayin...

Mind you, we are NOT talking about true undershepherds, true men of GOd.
We're talking about wolves in sheep's clothes, whether sheep or under-shepherds

For some reason this makes me think of one of my favorite quotes from Star Trek (the original series).

Spock: It is quite logical. It was easier for you, as civilized men to behave as barbarians then it was for them, as barbarians, to behave as civilized men.

From the episode Mirror Mirror.
