I know he wasn't his biological father, but in the family setting he was considered his dad.I fully believe in the virgin birth of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Re: Bible Trivia Question
You are on the right track, but. If you will compare the two genelogies in Matt. Ch 1 with Luke ch 3. In matt the geneolgy traces back to Solomen the son of David and in Luke it traces back to Nathan the son of David. So, they are two totally different geneologies. The one in Matt is Joseph's and the one in Luke is Mary's.
Luk 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, Notice it says (as was supposed) the son of Joseph. He wasn't the biological son of Joseph but the adopted son. So in the record he was placed first and then Mary's Father second. So Jesus Grand_Father was Heli. It seems strange to say that Jesus has a Grand Father. But after all Mary was his biological Mother right. Also notice that Mary and Joseph was from the tribe of Juda, and Zacharias and Elisabeth was from the tribe of Levi. |
