Now what would be telling and even more honorable is if President Obama criticizes the Bahraini government for this.

However, he won't.

Ultimately, the American government says they believe in democracy and freedom, but will use puppet dictator governments to further the American government's goals.


I find this disturbing-- giving validity to the many Arab critics of the American government.

They call us hypocrites.

Where is the outrage?

Where is the President to speak out against this?

It is IMPOSSIBLE for this to be in America's best interests-- regardless of how one spins this!

got it. in an effort to not appear hypocritical, it is ok if Iran creates a nuke and drops it on NYC.

because hypocricy in international politics is to be avoided at all costs even if the cost is a couple million dead americans.

Destroy our credibility? With whom? The Muslims? They don't respect us anyway! Who are you fooling? You think these people respect us when we are diplomatic with them? They are taught from the day they are born that we are satan. It their duty to destroy us and rule the world with their radical Islam.

Jermyn we are about to watch decades of peace building in the Middle East collapse and the radicals are waiting to fill the vacuum.

And the president displays no leadership in this matter.
