I don't pray for revenge however I think the Navies of the free world need to more actively hunt these guys down and stop them before killing or kidnapping more innocent people

There is a saying something like:
"The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church."

Of course, things like this put some of us in a quandary.
I saw on TV that one of the couples was traveling around and giving out the Scriptures. A Roman Catholic Monsignor mentioned that. To bad they were RCC and not UPC, now they'll go to hell in some folks opinion.

I didn't read they were RCC. But, yeah, they were definitely not "complete" Christians, or even Apostates, in some people's mind...

Im always surprised to hear something like this happening in that area. You'd think by now common sense would say to stay away from that area or be heavily armed and ready for a fire fight

Yep, better stop worshipping BIG NAME preachers, those with the best voice, FOOD, who gives the most money, people of success in the finest attire, the politically powerful, and ya know, that lucky fishing pole or certain rifle.

Better get rid of all those hobby magazines, classic cars, antiques, and that house you primp up to look better than all those other neighbors. Don't forget that certain breed of dog that is KING, or that Harley Davidson with ALL of the chrome!

Sorry kids, no more dolls. No more super heroes. And you can just forget it, no more Match Box cars or trophies if you win!

No more bowing to your little deceptive, iconic, picture that leads people to their knees. We’ve had enough people in time worship things like the Sun, Moon, and Stars. I think it is just a sad situation - six or eight people (depending on what I've heard) lost their lives for goodness sake! I think the Christian response should be to pray for the families of all the victims involved, including the pirates who were killed, pray for the captors who are still alive...they were trying to do the Lord's work...who am I to judge?

Only the Lord knows if they were welcomed in Heaven today...I just pray that I am half as willing to lay down my life for the gospel of Jesus Christ....

The Christian response should be to learn from the mistakes of those other Christians. Apparently those Christians didn't have enough faith to move the gun-armed pirate mountain out of their way. So the Christian response should be to increase in faith before going to that part of the world again ;)
