I think this is an oxymoron statement. I think it's a sin, what do you guys think?

I don't think it's best to broadbrush all secular music as sinful. Suddenly I'm in the mood to sing. "UPTOWN GURL..."

What? No Phantom of the Opera or Mary Poppins shows? No strumming Red River Valley on the guitar or playing Piano Man on the on the piano? No Sunshine on my Shoulders when I present the ring? Or Sunrise, Sunset at the wedding?

Time to find a new church folks! I didn't sign up for this. :)

First of all, I'm not sure if we're in agreement on what an oxymoron is, but ANYway...

As with most things, it just depends.

Separate perhaps, but not intentionally so. Like sleeping or going to get the mail, or sweeping chimneys...

Then there are other things which may even have questionable content that we indulge in. These we approach with maturity and awareness that we are not simply absorbing the messages put forth... Think Shakespeare, music and fine art.
