Christian people listening to secular music
I think this is an oxymoron statement. I think it's a sin, what do you guys think?

Re: Christian people listening to secular music
I don't think it's best to broadbrush all secular music as sinful. Suddenly I'm in the mood to sing. "UPTOWN GURL..."

First of all, I'm not sure if we're in agreement on what an oxymoron is, but ANYway...
As with most things, it just depends. |

Re: Christian people listening to secular music
Wikipedia says: "Secular" means being separate from religion.

Re: Christian people listening to secular music
Separate perhaps, but not intentionally so. Like sleeping or going to get the mail, or sweeping chimneys...
Then there are other things which may even have questionable content that we indulge in. These we approach with maturity and awareness that we are not simply absorbing the messages put forth... Think Shakespeare, music and fine art. |

Well, there's a part of the word "oxymoron" that would apply here. |
