A.A. Allen

Evangelist A. A. Allen, known as "God's Man of Faith and Power", a leading healing evangelist of the 50's and 60s was born March 27th, 1911. He died June 11, 1970 in San Francisco, CA. He would have been 100 years old this month.

While his life and ministry is pock-marked with controversy, no one can deny his influence as a Pentecostal evangelist.

Back in the 60's he prayed for 2 of my Aunts that had Cancer. The one lived another 22 years. The other lived another 45 years dying last year.

I have thought of the dream he had a few times over the last few years. It seems like there was something that happened in the Gulf of Mexico and when the oil spill was on I was wondering if it had anything to do with the gulf turning black.

But I guess not. Because I was never able to find that reference.

Pretty much. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Allen invented the leg-lengthening miracle.

He was another man that had great potential, but other things were more important to him than the blessings of God.

I am reminded of a message that I heard at a camp meeting a few years ago titled Anointed but not Blessed.
