Baptism in the New Testament

Baptism in the New Testament by Mr. G.R. Beasley-Murray

Has anyone read this book? He is professor at a baptist seminary and argues for the necessity of baptism and from what I read in reviews says European baptists believe baptism is essential unlike American

I own the book. It's no longer in print.

When you say "necessity" of baptism, I haven't gotten far enough in to determine "necessity for salvation."
