Favorite Memories of the 60s

.......Singing "Blowin' in the Wind,".. Singing "We Shall Overcome"...going to folk festivals, motorcycle riding from college to the lake nearby, the feeling that I could really make a difference in the world, the idealism, the hope, the excitement of listening to a new Dylan album, a new Simon and Garfunkel album, a new Beatles album, believin' that everyone meant well - just being so naive and innocent..:lol *

* I was NOT in church in the 60s.

In the sixties? We had children born in 1959, 1960, 1962, 1965, and 1966 so we were changing lots of diapers, rocking babies, doing laundry, getting kids off to school, taking kids to Sunday School, cleaning up of food, toys, etc.

You know, the ironic thing is that I did.

I won a big "Most Photogenic Baby" contest, so I must have done something right.

It was when I got old enough to be spiritually abused that I quit smiling for pictures.

Lots of memories of the 60s.

The Beatles!!! Oh my goodness!! There was such an uproar when they first appeared on TV with the long hair.

There was this really really cute boy in my Gr. 7 class. He's the first boy I remember wearing his hair like that. He was a rebel! Hehe. :)
