News Flash! Harold Egbert Camping Resets Date!
 
More later, but here's some quotes from Family Radio broadcasting an apparent press conference.


Doomsday is now Oct 21, which was a prominent date in the teaching of Egbert even before the 5/21/2011 disappointment. But now

"we understand better."

"We've always said Oct 21 was the day of final destruction" (the end of the ongoing torment kicked off by the rolliing earthquakes )

"It's amazing what God has shown us" now.

"I am not the authority. The Bible is the authority."

"The structure of God's timeline has not changed at all."

"We have not made a mistake regarding the timeline." The May 21 judgment day was spiritual. But the Oct 21 judgment day will be physical.

(Therfore) No one can become saved from May 21 to Oct 21. Family Radio will henceforth only minister to the saved!

I knew he'd say something like that. All those kinds of guys do and the followers who want to save face buy in.

Me too. Right now I'm just hoping Egbert lives until Oct 21. (He's 89 now.)

You should call in to "Open Forum" and ask that. 1-800-something.

He will say, "But I never claimed to be a prophet."

(Trust me, I really understand this guy's psychology. But I still would like to see someone ask him that for the record.)

No one can become saved from May 21 to Oct 21? *blink*

If the point is for people to be saved why would God leave them on earth with no possibility of being saved?

On second thought, no, don't trust me. If anyone is sure God wants him or her to believe Egbert, then please do so. I'm sure John the Baptist was the apparent nut case for his day, yet JTB had the correct message. (Me, no believe Egbert...but ever fascinated at his ability in "assymetrical influence".)
