Thoughts On The Paranormal
What are everyone's thoughts on the paranormal? I am not talking supernatural, as most Pentecostals both believe and experience such, but I am speaking of ghosts, spirits, objects moving on their own, EVPs, etc. What are your thoughts on these things?

DEMONIC, manifestations of spirits which existed in a pre-world before Adam and Eve and our human race.
A society which lived on this planet in physical form and was under the rule of Satan and his angels. This civilization was also destroyed by a flood, and the spirits remained and now long to poses a human being to experience that state of being that they once had. They are still under the rule of Satan and are ordered to cause division and falsehood among humans as well as destruction and delusion to the beliefs of man.[ You see this in all the new TV series about ghosts] They have the power to cause manifestations of people and cause those manifestations even to look like the people that you or others might known in real life. In the Old testament there is an event which describes this. I Samuel chapter 28 beginning at the 8th verse. Now, you should examine this for yourself and not just take my word for it, not to say I'm right, just to throw it out there as a matter of theology. |

Austin, great response. I put this out there to see what some others think, as I have hardly heard this topic touched from many pulpits, except for a couple of times. But, with the popularity of such shows as Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures and Celebrity Ghost Stories, I thought maybe this might bring up some interesting conversation, and help iron to sharpen iron.

I understand that many don’t hold the same opinions regarding the demonology expressed here. But that’s cool. There are various opinions. This is a largely mysterious subject. |

Re: Thoughts On The Paranormal
My thoughts....
Active imaginations that, for whatever reason, really wants to believe there is life beyond the life we live now. For example, people have searched for "life out there" for years. UFO reports, IMO, are the results of people who really want to believe "we are not alone". Actually, I do believe there is life out there somewhere but, IMO, we will never make contact. Paranormal: Ghosts and goblins such as those seen on such "reality" shows as Ghost Hunters, are the same thing. People who really want to believe diembodied spirits surround us and attempt to make contact thru "orbs of light" (illuminated dust particles), creaks and groans of old house, (and rodents in the attics, etc). The mind is a powerful thing, and if we want "evidence" of the paranormal, our active imaginations on a dark night will certainly accomodate us. What of the "evidence" caught on audio/video tape? "Ghost images" from prior use in my opinion. Or downright computer manipulations. Denomic activity? Could be, but, since I believe Satans only power is to decieve, I believe any denomic activity is in the area of deception. If Satan can make you believe you saw a "ghost" then, you have seen a "ghost". Or a UFO. Un-explained? Certainly. There are many things about life that simply can't be ex-plained. But that doesn't mean they result from ghost, demons or spirits. But no, I'm not a believer in the para-normal in any shape or form. |

Re: Thoughts On The Paranormal
My opinion is that ghosts and suchlike are demon spirits, and these are fallen angels. I personally do not believe the theory that a race of human existed before Adam and became demon spirits, but rather they are fallen angels. They impersonate those who died in order to deceive, partly to espouse there is no hell.
